You can define the attributes you wish to associate with a channel. Simply go to the ‘Data > Content > Channels’ section and double-click (or click on the pencil icon on the far right of the relevant channel) on the channel you are interested in.
Next, click on the ‘Attributes’ tab; you will then see all your Object Types and Product Types displayed, so here you can define which attributes for products and asset are permitted to be broadcast on the channel.
To add your attributes, you can:
either enter the name of the attribute directly into the search bar to find it quickly and tick it.
or expand ‘Object type’ and tick the attributes of your choice.
Once you have finished adding or removing attributes from your distribution list, click the Save button.
Once you have saved the changes, you will see the number of attributes displayed next to each category.
The attribute broadcasting settings apply only to API channels.
Channels broadcast via data streams using flat files are excluded from this: all attributes are exported via flat files.
