There are several ways to link your media files to products in Quable PIM. The simplest way is to use ‘drag and drop’ from the Assets tab onto a product page.
For the other methods, here’s how to proceed.
Go to the product you wish to link to the media, via the Data > Products menu, Quick Search or Advanced Search.
Select the Asset tab.
Identify the link where the asset should be attached.
Once the connection has been identified :
If the media file has already been uploaded to the DAM, click the ‘Add asset’ button, then enter a few letters of its name or code in the search bar and select it.
If the asset has not yet been uploaded, click on the ‘Add asset’ button, then click on “Upload”, and either drag and drop your file directly or click on ‘Choose files’ (a window will open, in which you can select the image from the relevant folder on your desktop). You can upload multiple asset simultaneously.
If the asset is hosted online via a secure public link (HTTPS), you can also add it by clicking the “Add asset” button, then the “External” button.
You will then need to fill in the various fields and finally click “Add external asset”.
The link to the external asset must be:
HTTPS only,
public (no login or password, no VPN),
directly accessible.
The association can also be set up from the media page in the Links section, by importing a links file, via an API, or through an automatic association rule.
