If you manage several brands or product lines, it is likely that they have their own information and you would like to manage them independently from your products.

Several models are possible, we explain how to do it!

Via the classification

If your classifications tree contains a classification for each brand or range, you can add attributes to this classification. To do this:

  1. Go to the Administration< Attributes menu.

  2. Select the Classification object type and create your attribute.

  3. Then from the Data<Documents menu you will be able to select the classification of your choice, and click on the pencil to edit the attributes, or import these items via file or API

The main inconvenience of this practice is that the data is only visible by clicking on the pencil.

Via a dedicated document type

You can add a new document from the Administration< Attributes menu and create the attributes related to your brands from this same menu. .

For a better follow-up, we also advise you to create a product x brand link type:

Your brand documents can be created from the classifications, by import or API, as is the case for your products. The links can be made from the brand document (the parent document) in the Related documents tab or from the product document (the child document) in the Parent documents tab.

The main inconvenience of this practice is that, depending on the integration methods used, maintenance may be more important due to the number of objects created.
